Feature comparison

Capacity

The capacity of both models is the same. Both of them have a cooking chamber of around 15 quarts. They are moderately large capacity toaster ovens. If you are looking for the biggest toaster ovens, then none of them will be suitable for you. Although they can cook for a large family quite sufficiently.

None of the models have air fry, convection, or dehydrator mode as they are two basic toaster ovens.

Control panel

Both of these Cuisinart toaster ovens have a manual control panel. You have the set the temperature, time, and cooking functions using different control knobs. There is no LED display to show the status.

Temperature range

Both of these models have a similar working temperature range. The range is good for cooking at high temperatures. However, none of them are able to cook in low temperatures. Therefore, functions like ‘dehydrate’ are not present in both of them.

Price and value for money

The price of both the models is almost the same. If we consider the value for money, I think TOB 1010 is slightly ahead of TOB 40N.

Heating element

Both of the models have a heating element with a rated power of 1800W. The power of the heating element of that level is impressive compared with some other comparable models of other brands such as Emeril and Calphalon.
